The Virtual Entrepreneurship Center (VEC) incorporates the expertise and experience of Alabama A&M University (AAMU), Auburn University (AU), and Tuskegee University (TU) to promote entrepreneurship and business development. The center utilizes the economic development experience of each land grant institution in the state to more effectively reach rural, nontraditional audiences, and underserved populations. The center integrates conferences, youth entrepreneurship training, myvec.org, and social media to provide training to the public. This approach provides individuals regardless of age or location the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills. The center brings to bear the total capacity of Alabama’s land grant institutions to address the need for greater entrepreneurship training throughout the state and especially among the youth, rural, and minority population.
